AKD Interiors is a full-service interior design firm who specializes in helping busy professionals and families through the process of a home renovation. Besides creating beautiful spaces the goal is to keep our clients on budget and their builder on schedule.

Amanda is one of the leading home renovation experts in the Philadelphia Main Line suburbs, with over 17 years of experience in the industry. She has an eye for detail and enjoys coming up with creative solutions to fulfill her client’s needs. Her personal style leans towards casual classic, but she loves helping homeowners discover their style and implementing it into the design.

Prior to founding AKD Interiors, Amanda worked in New York at On-Site Sales & Marketing, where she and her team provided marketing strategies to developers and builders. Her experience and recognition there landed her a lead position at a large interior design firm in Chicago, The Childs Dreyfus Group. There, she grew in her role to become Senior Account Executive. She managed a team of designers and worked on numerous projects, with a focus on model homes. Amanda knew it was important to understand the builders marketing strategy as well as have an in depth understanding of the building process. It was her job to make sure that the model home that was being designed and built, spoke to potential home buyers and was installed in time for the builders grand opening of their new community. She worked with national home builders such as Pulte Homes, Toll Brothers, K. Hovnanian as well smaller developers.

As a part of the builder’s team, she worked hand in hand with their director of marketing and the construction project manager. She managed projects from initial design concepts, through the building process, installation of furniture to completion of the build. Through her experience she gained extensive project management skills, knowledge of the construction process as well as building products and materials. Along with Amanda’s boots on the ground work experience, she also completed an extensive interior design program at Harcum College, in Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania. In 2016, she became the proud owner of her own firm, AKD Interiors. Amanda lives in Malvern, Pennsylvania with her husband, three beautiful children and their dog. A lovable goldendoodle named Molly. In her free time, she is involved in her church and teaches Sunday School. She also enjoys traveling with her family and spending time with friends.
